Why train at home

The work your body needs after 40 — privately.

After forty, training is less about punishment and more about precision: protecting joints, rebuilding muscle, and keeping the energy a demanding life requires. We bring that work to you, and remove every step between the decision to train and the session itself — no drive, no parking, no waiting, no audience.

i

We bring the equipment

Your coach arrives with professional-grade kit and sets up a complete private training space in a spare room, garage, or office for the hour. Nothing to buy, nothing to store.

ii

Genuinely one-to-one

No small groups quietly sold as personal training. Every minute of the session is yours — full attention on your form, your pace, and the next correct rep.

iii

Built around a full calendar

Early mornings, late evenings, two or three days a week, and the flexibility to bank sessions when work travel takes you out of town. Training that bends to your schedule, not the reverse.

iv

Measured, not guessed

A baseline assessment and regular check-ins feed a data-driven picture of what is actually changing. We use modern analysis to read the numbers and adjust before you plateau — progress as a record, not a feeling.

Who we train

A small roster of people like you.

Stillwell is selective on purpose. We keep a limited number of clients so each one receives genuine attention — which means we work best with a particular kind of person.

The time-poor executive

You run a full calendar and a long commute. The hour has to come to you, fit around travel, and waste none of itself. Convenience isn't a luxury here — it's the only way it happens at all.

The one who wants to stay in the game

Golf, tennis, skiing, pickleball, keeping up with kids and grandkids. You're not training for a mirror — you're training to keep doing the things you love, without the injury that takes them away.

The thoughtful restarter

You've been strong before, or never quite found the right approach. You want a professional who respects your history, your joints, and your time — and no audience while you rebuild.

The long-game thinker

You see strength for what it is after forty: the single best investment in the next thirty years. You want it measured, progressed, and taken as seriously as you take the rest of your life.

The method

Everybody is different. Why is everybody's training the same?

Generic programs treat you like an average. You are not an average. The only way to train the actual person in front of us — not a template — is to measure that person honestly, and often.

If you can't measure it, you can't improve it. Data is the only truth — and we don't stop at waist size and biceps.
Sleep

Deep and REM sleep, consistency, recovery. Adaptation happens while you rest — if you aren't sleeping, you aren't gaining, and your plan should know that.

Heart

Resting heart rate and HRV read your readiness each day, so we know when to push hard and when to hold back.

Training

Every load, set, and rep logged and trended — progress you can see as a number, not a feeling you hope for.

Body composition

Muscle versus fat, not just the scale. After forty, lean mass is the number that matters most — so we track it directly.

Bone density

The silent risk of your decade. We read your DEXA results and train deliberately to protect and build bone.

Hormones

Testosterone, thyroid and more — reviewed alongside your physician's labs to explain energy, recovery, and results.

Bloodwork & vitamins

Quiet deficiencies cap your progress. We factor your panels into training and nutrition, in step with your doctor.

And more

Daily activity, stress, nutrition logs — whatever genuinely moves the needle for you becomes part of the picture.

Bloodwork, hormone, and bone-density testing are arranged with your own physician or lab. Stillwell reads the results and builds your training and nutrition around them — we coach the data, we don't practice medicine.

The Stillwell Membership

Every membership includes the whole system.

Membership is more than the hour in the room. It is a single, managed program — training, recovery, nutrition guidance, and accountability — kept in one place and reviewed continually.

Private 60-minute sessions

One-to-one training at your home or office. We carry the equipment in and out; you focus only on the work.

Full baseline assessment

Movement screen, strength and mobility benchmarks, and a body-composition starting point that we re-test on a set cadence.

A written program, built for you

A plan designed around your goals, history, and any old injuries — progressed deliberately so it stays safe and effective.

Nutrition guidance

Practical structure for eating that supports the training, with optional tracking — no fads, no extreme protocols.

Between-session accountability

Simple check-ins that keep the habit intact on the days we are not together, and a coach a message away.

Ongoing progress reviews

Regular check-points where we read the numbers, adjust the plan before plateaus set in, and keep you moving forward.

Private memberships

Membership, not drop-ins.

Stillwell works by private membership — twelve one-to-one in-home sessions each month, plus the full system around them. The longer the commitment, the better the rate, because consistency is what builds a body that lasts. Memberships are confirmed by consultation and limited by capacity.

The approach

Strength is the longevity strategy.

"Most people over forty don't need to be pushed harder. They need to be trained smarter."

The body you carry into your seventies is built in your forties and fifties. Muscle, balance, and bone are the dividing line between aging well and aging fast — and they respond to the right work at any age, provided the work is intelligent.

So we train for the long arc, the way a functional-aging specialist would. Joint-friendly strength over ego lifts. Mobility that keeps you on the court, the trail, and the slopes instead of the sidelines. Conditioning that returns energy to your day rather than taking it. Hard, yes — but the kind of hard that pays you back for decades, not the kind that leaves you hurt by spring.

Every program is corrective first and ambitious second. We meet the body where it is, protect what needs protecting, measure what matters, and build from there — patiently, privately, and entirely around you.

Aarjay — Founder & Head Coach · NASM-CPT, NASM-CNC

Before Stillwell, Aarjay spent more than fifteen years in financial technology — building the data systems and AI models that institutions trust to make decisions with real money on the line. The work was demanding, sedentary, and relentless. Somewhere in his forties, the body that powered those years started sending the bill.

Getting strong again didn't come from a fad or a crowded gym. It came from treating his own training the way he'd treat any serious problem: measure honestly, test what works, discard what doesn't, and let the evidence lead. The results were good enough that other busy professionals over forty began asking him to do the same for them. He earned his NASM Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Nutrition Coach credentials, and Stillwell became the practice.

That analytical background is the whole difference. Every Stillwell program is built on evidence and refined with the same tools Aarjay once pointed at the markets — modern analysis and AI to read your training data, surface the patterns the eye misses, and adjust the plan before you stall. The aim is simple: predictable, data-backed results, without the gimmicks. No fads, no transformation theater, no generic templates. Rigorous, measured coaching, delivered privately and by hand to a deliberately small roster.

Good questions

Before you book.

Accomplished men and women, generally in their 40s, 50s and 60s, who value their time and privacy and want to be strong and capable for the long run. If you want to train seriously without an audience, a commute, or a generic program, you're exactly who this is built for. We keep the roster small, so not every season has openings.

No. Your coach brings everything the session needs and sets it up in whatever space you have — a spare room, a basement, a garage, even a cleared corner of an office. We work with the room you have.

Yes. Two well-designed sessions a week, run consistently for a year, is over a hundred quality training hours — more than enough to get meaningfully stronger and leaner. We would rather have two sessions you never miss than four you resent.

That is exactly who in-home training serves best. We schedule around your calendar, and Charter members can bank sessions during travel weeks rather than lose them. Remote coaching keeps you on program while you are away.

Most of our clients begin after a long break, with old injuries, or post-surgery. The assessment exists precisely to map that, and every program is corrective-first. Privacy is part of the point — there is no audience, just the work and your coach.

Coaches are insured, background-checked, and discreet. For clients who require it, we are comfortable with confidentiality agreements. What happens in your home stays there.

A no-cost conversation and a brief in-home assessment: we discuss your goals and history, take baseline measures, and leave you with a clear sense of the plan. No pressure — if it is not the right fit, you have still gained a professional read on where to start.
